RLSB’s Dorton House instals state-of-the-art soft play area with club grant The Royal London Society for the Blind’s (RLSB) school Dorton House in Kent, , has installed a new sensory soft play area with the help of The Primary Club to provide a much-needed educational and recreational resource for its pupils. The school has grown dramatically and the previous facility also provided by a grant from the Primary Club was not large enough to accommodate the children’s needs.
The new soft play area aims to help the children strengthen their senses providing stimulation such as musical steps and a ball pool.
Primary Club trustees Warwick Armstrong, Ross Midgley and Chris Larlham attended the launch event alongside RLSB vice-presidents Anita Dobson and Cheryl Baker.
"We’ve worked with RLSB and Dorton House for many years and are delighted to have been able to sponsor this latest project – a very important step for enabling the school to cater for its ever-growing intake," said Derek Underwood, Patron of The Primary Club. "This soft play area appeals to children’s sense of adventure and we hope that it provides many hours of exploration and enjoyment over the years to come." |
